Here are some of mine, as promised in the video.

Where are YOUR happy places? I’d like to know!

There’s Something about a Front Porch

It’s the way that the wind blows at night when the rest of the world is quiet. Out of nowhere it comes. I wait to hear the chimes play another song, and when they do, I close my eyes and wonder what the musical score would look like.  It’s the sound of the crickets or tree frogs chirping, with the occasional dog bark in the distance.

It’s watching the sunset and the palate of colors change from yellows to oranges to pinks to purples to gray and dark blue.  Then the first star appears, and you wonder how many you’ll be able to count that night.  Even better if it’s a full moon night.

Of course, the sound and smell of a good summer rain shower can’t be beat, either.

It’s clearing your head and forgetting life’s little troubles, if only for a few moments… and maybe sharing a space with a special someone.

It’s quitting time.  Think I’ll go rock a while.

There’s a spot open… care to join me?
